Birds of the Pharaohs

"Discover Egypt as You've Never Seen It Before
A Journey Where Pharaohs' Legends Meet the Whispers of Wings."

Program Overview

On this unique journey, we weave together the magic of ancient Pharaonic civilization with the breathtaking beauty of Egypt’s living wilderness .Over 14 days of continuous exploration, we will walk in the footsteps of kings, priests, and artisans who immortalized the details of birds on the walls of temples and tombs thousands of years ago.Accompanied by a professional guide specializing in Egyptology and birdwatching, we will open the pages of ancient Egypt from a fresh perspective — observing birds meticulously carved and painted in sacred art: the Egyptian goose, the heron, the sacred ibis, and other timeless symbols of soul and beauty in Pharaonic belief. We will stand before majestic scenes depicted on the walls of Mereruka’s tomb in Saqqara, or on the walls of Edfu and Kom Ombo temples, and compare them with the living birds that still soar today above the lakes of Fayoum, the banks of the Nile, the waterfalls of Wadi El Rayan, and the shimmering coasts of the Red Sea. This journey is not merely a tour of temples and pyramids; it is a voyage through time and nature. We will witness how some species have remained vibrant in the Egyptian landscape, just as they were known to our ancient ancestors — perhaps even migrating along the same ancestral paths.Between the golden sands of the desert, the lush plains of the Nile Valley, and the sparkling shores of the Red Sea, we will gather memories, observations, and photographs — living an experience that brings together science and history, nature and art, the past and the present.
